Walk Leader: Andy Miller
Participants: 8
Mileage: 20 miles
Walk Report: Wendy Leete

Our "36" year old leader (Andy Miller) ha ha!! took no prisoners - eight of us - straight up the hill and straight on to Glaisdale Rigg.  No complaints, although we didn't believe him when he said "no more hills".  The weather didn't quite do what it forecast, but in the main we stayed relatively dry and the sun was out for much of the day.  Fortunately for us our leader likes to walk for the first two hours before stopping, which brought us very neatly to a new cycling venue in Fryup Dale.  We gently persuaded our leader that a coffee stop here in front of a glowing wood burner is the best kind of stop.  Walking out of Fryup we headed over the valley to Danby.  Following the Esk Valley way for a short time we headed up to Danby Beacon where the 360 degree views were breath-taking.  Lealholm was our next port of call before returning back to Glaisdale.

Thank you to our leader and all who joined the North Yorkshire Group today.
