We set off from Greta Bridge taking the road through the village going N/W and then crossed the A66 (Permissive Path). We then took the road all the way N/W to Egglestone Abbey where we had a drinks stop.
After our drinks stop we rejoined the road and then took the FP which took us through the hamlet of Lendings and then through the caravan site to reach Barnard Castle.
From Barnard Castle we joined the Teesdale Way all the way to the village of Cotherstone where we had our first break and took some pictures.
We then re traced our steps and crossed the FB over the River Tees
to rejoin the TW on the north side and after a lunch break all the way back to Barnard Castle.
From Barnard Castle we continued on the TW all the way to Abbey Bridge where we then crossed over to the South side of the TW and then continued all the way passing Mortham Tower under the A66 and back to Greta Bridge.
An excellent day in excellent company.
