Swaledale Three | Saturday 14 May 2022

Walk Leader: Jo Poskitt
Participants: 10
Mileage: 22.5 miles
Ascent: 3,740 ft
Walk Report: Lynn Hathaway

Starting at the beautiful hamlet of Muker, we walked through multiple grassy fields to the village of Gunnerside, where we then climbed onto Melbecks Moor and walked through an area of long disused mines to the trig point on Great Pinset Hill.  We then walked across the moor and up Great Punchard Gill to Water Crag and then onto Rogan Seat.  We descended steeply down a beautiful gully to Crackpot Hall and finished with walking along the valley floor next to the river back into Muker.

Brilliant weather the whole day and a fantastic route.
