Weather: | Showers early morning, strong N/W wind and icy cold all day |
We set off from Barningham in heavy rain showers and strong winds. We went up through the village take a track to Black Hill Gate. From there we crossed Peak Moor where in the protection of the woods at Hope Edge we had a break.
After our break we continued to join Stang Road. After this section we arrived at Dry Gill Edge to join a Track across Peat Moor. We then joined the long Track called Moresdale Road where we had Lunch at the Shooters Hut.
After Lunch we continued on Moresdale Road all the way to Kexwith then an uphill climb to Carter House and then a Road and Moor section back to Barningham.
As usual another excellent day. Well led. Great Group who put up with very cold conditions to again make it another memorable day.
