We met at Carperby outside the Village Hall where we were allowed to park our cars (Honesty Box)
We then set off climbing the Public Access Lane to join the well used Bridleway passing Ponderledge Scar,Oxclose Gate, and Oxclose Road (Path) to reach Heugh .From there we took a Track/Path  down through the woods to Newbiggin and then down into  Askrigg .This Bridleway and Track/Path is all part of the final section of the Challenge event the "The Wensleydale Wedge."
After our Break in Askrigg outside the Church we then took the Road and Field paths to Bainbridge where after crossing the bridge we then climbed up through the fields to Brough Scar .We continued along this well used footpath along the edge of the Scar to eventually reach open Fields and the Farm at Cubeck .
"Afoot in Two Dales" another Challenge event comes along a percentage of this path before turning off in another direction .
From Cubeck we then took a quiet ,short road section all the way to Thornton Rust .From the village main street we took a path where the Stile was not obvious(Small Tree obscuring Stile) next to Manor Farm.
We then took a series of wallside footpaths ascending and descending passing over Aysgarth Rigg , Flout Moor ,and then reaching the derelict farmhouse at Holme Barn/Gayle Ing where we had lunch.
After Lunch we continued on a short stretch of Footpath to reach a wall corner where we turned right to descend to a footbridge at Gayle Ing Beck and then after a tough climb to the top of Side Well we went through a small gate in need of some TLC to reach Brown-a-Haw where we continued on the track down into the village of Thoralby.
After a short drinks stop we climbed out of the village on a series of unfamiliar but well used narrow footpaths to reach the A684 coming through Aysgarth .
We went down through the village, spent a few moments at the Falls and then took another unfamiliar footpath through Bear Park (That is the name given on the Map) to reach Low Lane .
We then took a footpath which according to my GPS should have taken us  a short distance to the Main street of Carperby; it was blocked off .
We then had to re-trace our footsteps back to the road and after a short distance of road walking we finished  back at our cars .
We didn't allow this to spoil a somewhat excellent day with another Top Group where everyone gave 100% to make the day a success .Yes we got a Result !!!!!
On my  drive Home I was quite surprised at the amount of large Roadside Puddles as we only had a very minimal threat of rain on one occasion .
After the overcast start Sunshine stayed with us nearly  all day .
Unfortunately my time was taken up with other issues when we arrived back at our cars I completely forgot our Wine raffle which will resume  next week .My apologies .
Once again I received more donations for Autism Plus I can't thank members enough for helping  this local Yorkshire Charity to survive.
