10 of us set off from Leighton Reservoir, we walked by Leighton and Round hill reservoirs, we passed by Colsterdale towers (a set of sighting towers used to conduct surveys during the construction of the reservoirs). We then turned right over Combs Fell towards a shooting lodge where we had a break with lovely views over looking Nidderdale. We followed lots of grouse shooting tracks and had a second break at Gollinglith shooting lodge. From there we followed the stream down to a Coal Road track, and back over the hill via the six dales way to Leighton. The weather was perfect.
