A great day was had on the towpath following Gill for 19 miles between Leighton Buzzard and Hemel Hempstead
I arrived first to find a café open next to the canal where we were to start our journey. I had only just had a coffee at the train station but a bacon buttie was calling my name.
In I went and ordered a toasted bacon buttie..bacon well
  done,
I ended up with a bacon and sausage sarnie with white bread sitting on the banks of the canal. Was I going to complain?

Gill turned up next, then right on 9am the last one turned up, A quick how do and “I haven’t actually recce’d this but we shouldn’t get lost” from Gill we were off.
An hour and a half later we arrived at Seabrook locks which was our first T break, then on to on to Cow Roast locks for lunch, I thought we were going to get a pint there but the pub
was closed and had been for a few years.

After lunch we headed off and about an hour before Hemel Hempstead we dived into the Boat Inn for a well-earned quick pint, I bought Gill a pint of cider which she downed pretty quickly
and after 20 mins we were off again heading   for Hemel.
An hour later we arrived at Hemel train station, my train was not for another 50 mins so I headed for the nearest boozer for a pint and some chips.

It was a great walk the sun shone all day and the ducks and swans graced the canal with their presence,  when the rain did show its face it disappeared just as quick,
and we did not get lost due to the excellent leadership from Gill.
