A strenuous circular walk (~2200ft of ascent) following The North Chiltern Trail, Bedfordshire Section, from Barton le Clay. Park politely in Old Road in Barton - le -Clay, or the side roads off it. Meet just inside the Recreation ground opposite the entrance to Washbrook Close, there is a finger post. Nearest postcode MK45 4LD

We will be passing through Pegsden, Lilley, Streatley and Shapenhoe. We will be walking on Telegraph Hill, Deacon Hill, Hollybush Hill, Warden Hill and Galley Hill.
There are some short road sections and several crossings of busy roads. The ascents can be slippery after rain.
There will be 3 stops during the day plus brief pauses for water as necessary. The first stop will be at the top of Pegsden Hill nature reserve. Lunch will be after ~11 miles in Lilley. The pub should be open for drinks only. The afternoon stop will be at Streatley Church, the pub next door may be open. Please bring all the food you will need for the day and plenty of water.
Well behaved dogs under close control may come along, some fields may have stock in them
