Sundon Saunter

The first Sundon Saunter was held in 2012 from Barton-le-Clay. It takes place every third year, alternating with the Shillington Shuffle and the Steppingley Step.

The event was originally organised by David Sedgley with Dave & Lynn Yorston, Mike & Sandra Hyland and Dave Findel-Hawkins.
Dave Findel-Hawkins is now the Event Lead.

Short Route (Wet Weather): Route Description  GPX file
The old section of Sundon Quarry can get very slippy in wet weather, and is used on the return from the checkpoint on the short route. We advise walkers to use the 'Wet Route' if there has been rain the previous week.  This route is 500 mts longer, but avoids this part of the quarry - which is fine if dry.
