NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The AGM of the Beds, Bucks & Northants Group of the LDWA will be held at 2.30 pm on Sunday 29th November 2026 at Yardley Hastings Memorial Hall,11 Northampton Road, Yardley Hastings, Northants NN7 1EX.

The Agenda, Officers’ Reports and Annual Accounts will be available to view on the BBN website before the AGM.

Nominations for Officers and Ordinary Committee Members, who must be Primary Members of the Group, shall be received by the Secretary no later than Sunday 1st November 2026.  A nomination shall include the names of the proposer and seconder who must be Primary Members of the Group, and the nominee’s agreement to stand. If there are any posts for which nominations have not been received, nominations may be taken at the Annual General Meeting.

If no nominations are received from Primary Members of the Group before the Annual General Meeting, applications may be invited from Associate Members of the Group provided that the Associate Member is not already a serving Committee Member of another Local Group.

Any proposal to amend the constitution shall be submitted to the Committee no later than Sunday 1st November 2026 and any substantive motion shall be submitted by Sunday 15th November. Both shall include the names of the proposer and seconder who shall be Primary Members of the Group.

All Members of the Committee retire at the AGM but are eligible for re-election. No Member may serve as an Officer for more than 5 consecutive years in any post, although they may stand for re-election if there are no other candidates. We may have a maximum of ten Committee Members, including the Officers.

The current Committee are doing a fantastic job of running our group, but we are always keen to get new people to join the team.

This leaves a vacancy for the Secretary role and two Ordinary Committee members. Please consider whether you would like to join the committee and help to shape the future direction and success of the group. New ideas and different perspectives are always needed.
