Graham Smith, acting editor of Strider, has been in touch wanting to reach all LDWA members. He highlights the changes made to August Strider hoping to making it easier to read and a bit more modern.
Graham is now looking for news to include in December Strider - read more here Strider  Anything you feel newsworthy, especially anything that showcases BBN!  Strider is your magazine - it is written by LDWA members for members. Over to you!!

Travelling Buffs
Two buffs enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend – one taking part in the World Bog Snorkelling Championship at Llanwrtyd Wells and the other “working” on the allotment. Travelling Buffs

BBN Walking WhatsApp
There are lots of brilliant photos from the Weymouth trip on the BBN Walking WhatsApp. I have copied some onto the website, but can’t copy them all. Our Walking WhatsApp is taking over from FB as the place we share photos. I will still copy photos onto the website but, if you want to keep up with everything that’s going on, it is well worth joining our Walking WhatsApp group (see the end of this email). You may get a few pings – if you’ve been out on the walk that’s great, if not you’ll know what’s been happening - it’s all about being part of and belonging to the group.

And remember the Ramblers’ Bedfordshire Festival of Autumn Walks (5th-13th September)
The full programme is here https://www.bedswalkfest.co.uk/ and includes Roy Carter's weekend walk of the Greensand Ridge.

Happy walkers at the seaside!

How do you make an octopus laugh?
With ten tickles!
Why should you never blame a dolphin for doing anything wrong?
Because they never do it on porpoise!
What do sheep wear to the beach?
A baa-kini.
Who cleans the ocean?
The mermaids.
How does the ocean floor keep up to date with the news?
By following current events.
Why is the beach always so confident?
It’s 100% shore.
