Ouse Valley Way / Road bridge near Thornton, Bucks closed

11th August 2026  This closure is still in place,
 
A road bridge (and its footway) near Thornton, Buckinghamshire - it is between Thornton College and the A422 - is closed due to urgent structural repairs.
There is no serviceable foot alternative other than an unclassified road walk.
The initial closure period is until May 2026.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
