Had a great day on my walk, 11 of us left the CP at Wellingborough and headed along the R Nene towards Great Doddington, into Great Doddington then back down to follow the R Nene again for another couple of miles, T Break on the R Nene, then across country to Summerleys WT nature reserve then on to Wollaston for lunch outside the Hill pub.
From there we headed for Irchester, followed the road through Irchester then across the very busy A45 to re-join the R Nene and back to the cars.
Jill and Jim from the IOW joined us for the day on their way North for the 100 in Scotland which was a very nice surprise. Jill gave me a bunch of flowers for leading the walk, you don't get that every day. The weather was great, overcast but warm all day. And there were no floods!
