Beds, Bucks and Northants LDWA

Hello Everyone

New Members
A very warm welcome to Helen Mills and Emma Cooper (both Associate) - we look forward to meeting you on one of our group walks or challenge events.

Speyside Hundred Marshals’ Walk
13 walkers took part in the 100 Marshals’ Walk last weekend. Sadly BBN’s Martin Lawson didn’t finish, so huge commiserations to him. Dave and Merrian manned the final checkpoint, giving walkers plenty of TLC to help them through those last long miles. I don’t think any other BBN members were involved?

BBN Committee Meeting – Thursday 23rd May
We have a committee meeting coming up in a couple of weeks – if you have any thoughts or matters you’d like raised at the meeting please let me know.

There won’t be a Tuesday News next week - the next one will appear on Tuesday 21st May.

And after last week's walk through the Summer Leys Nature Reserve:
When should you buy a bird?
When it’s going cheep!
Why do you never see owls mating in the rain?
Because it’s too wet to woo.
What do you call a chicken crossing the road?
Poultry in motion.
What about the chicken who crossed the road, rolled in the mud, and then crossed the road again?
He was a dirty double crosser!
How do crows stick together in a flock?
Velcrow!
What do you call a parrot that’s flown away?
A polygon.
