E-Path 8 UK Section - Liverpool to Hull

The first European long distance path to be designated and opened in the UK was the E8, which runs from Liverpool to Hull. This route is probably better known as the Trans Pennine Trail.

The E8 starts at Dursey Head at the south-west tip of Ireland and finishes in Dublin for the ferry across to Liverpool. From Hull the ferry is taken to Europoort, near Rotterdam. The E8 continues from Hoek van Holland through the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria.
