Two-Day Greensand Challenge (The Ramblers) Day 1 - 14th September 2024

Photos from Day 1 of the 2 day Greensand Ridge Walk. It was a Ramblers walk led by Roy Carter and a good few BBN members turned up as well members of local walking groups from Bedfordshire and as far travelled as Devon! Quite a few LDWA business cards were handed out to attract new members.
A taxi ride from Ampthill Country Park to Tesco’s in Leighton Buzzard where we started our walk back. 19 miles for the 1st day in glorious sunshine and after experiencing Cardiac Hill in Robin Hoods Bay I found Cardiac Alley in (I think ) Harrington. A lovely route and thanks to Roy Carter for leading and his friend Tom for being backmarker.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
