Ilfracombe Trip Day 4 - Monday 2nd September 2024

Leader: Roy Carter

Norman: The last set of pictures from the BBN weekend at Ilfracombe. After saying our various goodbyes at the hotel we drove to Withypool where The Magnificent 7 set off at approximately 1030 and via the 2 Moors Way (connecting Exmoor and Dartmoor) arrived at a local beauty spot the Tarr Steps. We crossed these to spend a prolonged lunch at the cafe (due to the heavy rain..well there’s worse places to spend a lunchtime). From there it was via a diversion which in itself was diverted to return to Withypool where after some cream teas we went our separate ways. Many thanks to Roy Carter for a fabulous weekend.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
