Day 4 of the Outer Aylesbury Ring - Saturday 13th July 2024

Four walkers joined Trevor for Day 4 of the Outer Aylesbury Ring. As well as Sara and me, we had two guests: Adela from Columbia via Wiltshire and Pam from the Thames Valley group.

We met up in Waddesdon and jumped into Trevor’s car for the start of our day in Quainton. Then on to Oving and North Marston before heading back to Quainton for our first lunch stop at the George & Dragon. Back in the car to Waddesdon and then off around the Estate towards Ashendon for our second lunch and then back to the Manor. 

Good weather for walking; overcast but no rain and plenty warm enough with a light breeze. Nowhere near the dramas of Part 3: the trail was mostly good, stiles were in good condition and the cattle largely well behaved.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
