The Washlands to Hackleton and Back - Thursday 27th June 2024

Well, what a great day, even if I say so myself.
Five of us left the start at 09.30 for my "The Washlands to Hackleton and Back". The weather was good and not too hot. We went around the Northampton Washlands, then headed across the fields to Gt Houghton, up through the village, then over to Preston Deanery where we had T break and a quick look around the disused church.  Then on to Hackleton, through Hackleton, then headed for the Northampton Raceway.
We followed the disused railway back towards Little Hampton and around the Washlands again to get back to the cars for 15.15.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
