NRP3 was another great day, until the last 1.5 miles when the heavens decided to open up.

We left Ecton on time and headed out past Overstone Lake, the first time I had seen the lake, then on to Sywell. We stopped for a tea break after 3 miles then another after 6 miles then a final break about 1.5 miles from the end. in thre afternoon there were some WW2 planes flying around. Our last break was at a church where 2 mins after we arrived the heavens decided to open up. It did ease up before we left so I decided not to put my rain gear on, that was a mistake, it rained all the way back to Ecton, I was drenched.

For those who wanted to. there was a 1.75 miles added to the walk, which was to walk to where we left off on the NRP2 and back. As I was soaked I did not bother and headed back home to change into some dry gear then off to the Red Well for Thursday'.s curry club, but alas the kitchen was closed for some reason so I headed to my favourite takeaway...Sams Chinese. Another great day led by DFH.
