Steve Clark:
What a great day it was on the Northamptonshire Round led by by the honorable DFH. The weather was brill, sunshine all day and a good turn out. We left promptly at 09.30 and were soon in some lovely woodland. The first hour was the best for me, all woodland (Salcey Forest) and the light was fantastic. Tea break was after only 1.5 hours in a kiddies play park then onwards. Lunch was at Stoke Bruerne (2 pubs and a cafe, can't be bad) after approx 11 miles where we sat outside the pub with a pint. then had our sandwiches in the picnic area for approx 45 mins then off we trotted. There was no tea break in the afternoon but we were finished by 15.30. We had a great day, good views, sunshine and of course it was Thursday so straight to the Red Well for Curry club. Here's to part 2 of the NR. For those who didn't make it, you missed a great day.
