Ouse Up For A Walk ? After the rain the afternoon before, I thought it would be more of an Ouse Up To Their Knees In It. Amazingly, the underfoot conditions weren`t too bad. 23 of us left Sharnbrook on Chris` first lead for the club (can you believe that ?). Ouse Valley Way via Pinchmill Islands to Pavenham, then over to Odell and Harrold Country Park for lunch. This gave me a chance to check out the cafe, as I`m organising a (non-LDWA) walk from there on Sunday. All of the times I`ve been to/through the park, I`ve never used the paths we did on the way out. Up the old airfield access road, now a very wide bridleway to Santa Pod (RAF Podington), skirting Odell wood, before tackling Yelnow Lane. Again, really good underfoot, compared to what it usually is at this time of year. A final break at the barn on the Colworth Estate, before winding our way back to Sharnbrook. Thanks very much for this Chris. Now you`ve led once, there is no escape !!
