Trek to Camp 6 - Thursday 22nd July 2021

Leader: Colin Stoneman

Photos from Adrian:

Today we went on a "Trek to Camp 6" aka "a tour of the Cotes". A scorching day, 30 centigrade, but an enjoyable route on good paths / tracks. The highlight has to be the afternoon stop at Colin`s house for ice lollies, squash and cake plus a chance to refill our water bottles. Wonderful. Thanks to Colin Stoneman for a good day out, despite the heat. Anyway, here are some piccies .....

And a thank you from Sara:

The walk was amazing. It was unbearably hot but  we completed just short of 17miles around glorious Northamptonshire countryside at an average 3 miles per hour pace.
The highlight of the walk was being invited into Colin's back garden for the afternoon break. Sue welcomed us with cold squash and cakes. We had ice lollies and plenty of shade
as well as a chance to fill up our water bottles.
Huge thanks to Sue and Colin for putting up with a rabble of untidy walkers and getting us fit to complete our walk.
