Toddington – Chalgrave Great Pond - Tebworth –  late morning break at Battlesden church – Lunch at Eversholt –  birthday treats – Happy Birthday Alan – Daniel’s poppy princess - lovely poppies near Tingrith – gloom when Gareth Bale scored then "quiet" celebrations when England equalised,  then won as Colin wanted to watch the highlights without knowing the score – Harlington - views back to Sharpenhoe Clappers as we returned to Toddington.  A bit longer than 15 miles as Peter added distance to avoid rape fields.

12 walkers – several regulars are away – we beat the rain back to Toddington tho’ met torrential rain, hail and floods on the way home.  Lots of sunshine in the middle of the day – quite a few familiar places but linked up in a new way.  A most enjoyable walk, thank you Peter.
