The final day of BBN’s Rutland Round.
A lovely sunny day, rolling countryside with great views, lots of blossom and daffodils. Snippets of history from Geoff along the way, another enjoyable pub stop and a WOW church. 17 miles and a great day out.

A massive thank you to Sara for all the organisation (the minibus drivers of Lawsons of Corby were superb), and to Nick, Geoff (2 days) and Graham for leading.

• The group at the start of the walk by the Jackson Stops PH at Stretton
• Holy Trinity Church, Teigh. What a surprise! A fabulous little church – you enter beneath the pulpit with a reading desk (not sure what to call them) either side and, ahead, the wooden pews facing each other.
• Lunch stop at The White Lion pub, Whissendine where we could eat our sandwiches if we bought a drink. Another sunny pub garden.
