We had another great day on the RR part 2, great weather, beautiful views and some great countryside.
15 of us left Eyebrook Reservoir, heading for Ketton where we’d left the cars. Not long after we started our walk we had a great view of the Harringworth Viaduct (at 1,275 yards (1.166 km) long and with 82 arches, each of which has a 40 feet (12 metre) span, it is the longest masonry viaduct in the United Kingdom).
T-break was at Seaton at 4.5 miles(where I will add I was not invited to attend), then lunch in Barrowden at approx 10 miles where there was a pub for those who would like a quickie and a village pond on the village green.
We passed some beautiful villages on route, and the sun was out all day long.
A lovely day and it was not as muddy and hilly as RRP1. Thanks to Geoff for leading.
