2nd Pilgrim's Progress Part 4 Berkhamsted to Harrow & Wealdstone - Saturday 14th March
Leader: Jerome Ripp
Although the day started chilly, within an hour or so, hats and gloves were discarded and before long layers were being de-layered as the bright sunshine warmed us up.
The route from Berkhamsted took us up and over into Bovingdon for our tea break. Continuing through rolling countryside for lunch at Sarratt, and a quick drink in the Cock Inn. After that, over the M25 towards the pretty village of Loudwater, across the Chess river and into Rickmansworth. Through Rickmansworth and on to Moor Park Golf Courses, which would be the last stretch of greenery we would see as we headed into the concrete of suburbia. Passing some rather grand mansionettes in Pinner Hill and rather less salubrious sections in Harrow, we eventually arrived at Harrow & Wealdstone station for the journey home.
Thank you Jerome for leading.
