Walk the Hanslope Circular Ride - Thursday 18th September 2025

Leader: Sara Waldron

12 hardy walkers, including a first time walker with us, Rachel (welcome Rachel), left the cp at Gt Linford to follow Sara Waldron around the 20 mile Hanslope Circular Ride.

We headed off in a north westerly direction passing near the Linford Lakes and out into the countryside. At 6 miles we stopped at Castlethorpe for morning break at a very nice cafe where some got a cup of coffee or tea, (though the service was a bit slow) for 15 mins before heading off back into undulating countryside for approx another 6 miles before we had our lunch break out in the open countryside.

After lunch we crossed over the M1 and headed in the direction of Salcey Forest but turned right before we got there. Following the Swans Way and the Midshires Way, we headed for Tathall End. Through Tathall End, we turned SE to skirt Hanslope Park. We had our afternoon break in a nice wooded area with Hanslope Park in the background. Then we headed off for the final leg skirting Little Linford Wood and back through Linford Lakes to the cp where we’d left our cars.

We all had a great day, the weather was overcast all day but the rain did hold off, apart for a few spits of rain. Nice one Sara.
