Well, I thought last year on the Rammamere Ramble was a first for the BBN, but to do it twice is unbelievable.

We left the CP next to the 3 Locks, Stoke Hammond at 9.30 am and headed along the Grand Union Canal for a couple of miles, before we left the canal and headed across country. We soon went into some lovely woodland and headed for our morning T break at Stockgrove Park. 15 minutes later we moved on through more woodland heading for Great Brickhill Cricket Club.

Most of the day we walked through woodland, and skirted Rammamere park where the name of the walk was born. The day started off with sunshine but turned into drizzle for a while. While we had lunch at the Great Brickhill Cricket club we had a small shower, but no game of cricket this year.

Soon we were off heading for the canal and a short walk along the tow path back to the cars, BUT we were in for a surprise. The same boats that we sailed in last year were at the locks again so we all piled in and enjoyed a lovely cruise back to the 3 Locks pub. What a great finish to end a fantastic day. We did have a bit of rain but it was not a lot so did not dampen the day. (Well we did get damp but not enough to ruin our day, should I say).
