We start at Manuden Village Community Centre, which will be the nerve centre of Golden 50 operations in 2025. It won't be long before we enter Hertfordshire on our way past Patmore Heath to reach Standon after nine miles. We'll take a slightly early lunch break here. After Standon there's a link path, not planned for the Golden 50, by way of Hadham Ford. We're then soon back on the G50, and after re-entering Essex, we pass through Farnham on our way back to Manuden

General Notes
Essex & Herts LDWA will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025 with a 50 mile challenge walk, the Golden 50, devised by Peter Tremain. You can help test out the walk by joining in this, the second of three social walks which will explore the route of the 50. There is no shop in Manuden but there is a shop, bakery & two pubs in Standon. You may nevertheless wish to bring a packed lunch with you - there are benches dotted around this large village. Please make sure you have enough water for a long walk on a summer's day. No dogs please
