June 24

Welcome to  your June update!

Speyside 100

Congratulations to the eleven Essex and Herts  members who completed this year's tough Speyside 100, with a special shout-out to  Jim,  who I believe now jointly shares the record for the oldest  finisher.

Well done Jim Catchpole, Sue Gooch, Fiona Gosling, Richard Haynes, Helen Lambert, Heidi Miller, Ginny Powell, Rob Ratcliffe, Alex Tischer, Stephen Westphal and John Wigens.

And commiserations to  those who  didn't quite make it to the finish line  We trust  that  we will see you all back  for  the Norfolk and Suffolk 100 next  year!

Congratulations as well  to our many friends from other LDWA groups who completed the route.

While Essex and Herts didn’t run a checkpoint this year, we d id have helpers on both  the main event and the Speyside 100 Marshals’ walk which was held a few weeks earlier. Thank you Gill, Ginny, Rob and Chris: E&H Speyside Marshals
