Route
Start Spring Wood Picnic Site car park, Whalley, BB7 9TD, one pound for all day parking, if the fee machine is working. 2500ft ascent, up to the Nick of Pendle before ascending Pendle Hill. We will descend into Downham Village and have lunch at Clarion House, where there are picnic benches indoor and out, with the option of purchasing a brew here. We proceed to Newchurch-in-Pendle and on to Sabden Fold and Sabden. One last ascent takes up to Read before returning to Spring Wood
