Walk Report
A clearly popular midweek walk with 19 people (most of the time). From Hambleden village, down the dried-up Hambleden valley to join the Thames Path the other side of the weir, following it all the way to Marlow with the lunchtime stop there in the riverside setting of Court Garden (complete with very welcome ice-cream van). A more varied return route the other side of the Thames (the Medmenham Medley?) featuring wildflowers, a tunnel, and even a hill. The route was almost completely mud-free, even a usually boggy water meadow at Medmenham. A day later after the walk it would have been a very different story with torrential rain.Photos by Helen Abbott.
