It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of John Nickerson who passed away on 15th February 2017.
John was a treasured friend and walking companion known to many LDWA members far beyond the boundaries of the BBN, Essex & Herts and Thames Valley Groups. His achievements and contributions to the LDWA have been considerable. He completed 25 consecutive LDWA 100s, organised 10 Shillington Shuffles and 10 Steppingley Step challenge events, and much else besides.
He will be greatly missed and our sympathies and thoughts are with his wife Judy.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday 8th March at 11.15 at St Mary’s Church, Woughton on the Green, Milton Keynes. All are welcome.
