After years of planning, the feedback from entrants was that the Flower of Suffolk 100 was a great success and many thanks to the hard-working committee who have worked so hard to deliver the event. From checkpoint planning to food purchasing, from writing rotas to GPX preparation, it has been a lot of work and we’re so proud of the Norfolk & Suffolk group for delivering this event.

Madeleine Watson, the Chair of the LDWA, noted:

“The feedback from entrants and marshals at the event was so positive and it shows the LDWA at its best, with volunteers coming together to deliver an event that entrants will remember for years to come. Well done to Katie and her team.”

Katie Hunt, the Chair of the Norfolk & Suffolk 100 committee, added:

“The Flower of Suffolk Hundred committee are so happy that the event has been such a success. It has been great to see so many people achieve their goal and we feel for those who had to retire. Four years of hard work produced a fantastic route, a great  experience of a warm welcome, and teams of  supportive volunteers at all the checkpoints offering some varied and tasty food, and an enthusiastic greeting back at the headquarters at the finish. We could not have done it without the willingness of hundreds of people who gave up their time and energy to make it a success, so huge thanks to each and every one.

We are all very tired and still have lots to sort out but we are all so proud of our event and all the amazing walkers who took on the challenge.  I am sure we will all have our own special memories. Good luck to Peter Jull and the Kent Group who are in the days leading up to launching the Hunnypot Hundred.”
