Opening of the 'Around Corby' Long Distance Path

The new 35 mile Around Corby Long Distance Path will be officially opened as part of the Around Corby Walking Festival over the weekend of 2nd-4th May. The route, which connects the 7 parishes of Corby Borough in Northamptonshire, was developed by Mel Jarvis. The route takes in villages such as Gretton, Rockingham, Stanion and Brigstock which offer breathtaking views and numerous public houses to stop off at along the way. Mr Jarvis has written a book, also entitled' Around Corby', which also details nearly 30 circular walks linked to the main route.

The Around Corby Walking Festival will be launced at East Carlton Park, Corby on Saturday 2nd May at 11am by the local Mayor. For details of the Festival contact Suzanne Preston at Corby Borough Council on 01536 464281.
