Extension of the Cowal Way in Southwest Scotland

Posted on 2009-04-18

The Cowal Way in southwest Scotland now runs all the way from Portavadie to Inveruglas, Loch Lomond, making it 57miles (92km) in all. This makes it possible to walk all the way from the Mull of Kintyre to Inverness (excepting intervening sea crossings for which there are ferries).
A new guidebook to the Cowal Way can be pre-ordered from Rucksack Readers.

To mark this exciting development an afternoon of fun and activities has been organised, based at the Glendaruel Village Hall on Saturday 16th May 2009, from 1400hrs, including guided and non-guided walks, bar, barbecue and ceilidh. For more information see this link.

Visitors to the glen will be warmly welcomed.
