The Great Chalk Way is a coast to coast path which runs from the south coast at Lyme Regis to the north Norfolk coast near Hunstanton. It incorporates four established long distance footpaths: The Wessex Ridgeway, the Ridgeway National Trail, the Icknield Way and the Peddars Way National Trail. There is an alternative route from Win Green in southern Wiltshire to Overton Hill on the A4 near Avebury. This route incorporates two long distance trails: the Cranborne Droves Way (from Win Green to Salisbury, mainly following old drove roads) and the Sarsen Way (from Salisbury to Overton Hill).
