The woodlands and park extend over 1000 acres, so it is much larger than Hampstead Heath. This is a Festival Day in Oxford with large colourful crowds and races on the river. It is expected that the main walking part of the day will finish around 5.30pm with optional extension for evening entertainment. Average pace of 2.7 mph. Picnic stops and woodland facilities during the day. Botley has shops to top up on supplies.
