The Laich o’Moray 50 – the LDWA’s only challenge event in Scotland this year – is on Saturday-Sunday 1-2 October 2022.
Organised by North of Scotland LDWA, it’s a wonderful circular route, taking in some of the best coastal walking in the UK. Starting from the attractive town of Forres, the 51-mile route heads along the magnificent Moray Coast Trail to Lossiemouth, then goes inland to historic Elgin on a disused railway line before returning to Forres via forestry, country lanes and then Heldon Hill – which is quite spectacular, even at night!
Entrants have 24 hours to complete the walk, which is a qualifier for the LDWA’s annual 100-mile challenge.
Laich o’Moray 50 entry costs £35, with certificates - and a goody bag - for entrants. Entry is only via SiEntries, so get yours in now. Go to the North of Scotland LDWA website https://ldwa.org.uk/NorthWestGrampian/E/26778/laich-o-moray-50-mile-challenge.html
