Warrior Trail on Wednesday 12 August

Posted on 2015-08-06

A message from David Yates, Isle of Wight Group:

Hi folks,
The next IOW LDWA walk is a very special walk indeed, as we will be doing the recently-created Warrior Trail on Wednesday 12 August.
We will be meeting up at Brook Chine Car Park at 6.30pm and doing the 6 miles in about 2 hours.
The walk is very special, as it's our chance to remember over 300 men of the IOW Rifles who died this day 100 years ago in Gallipoli.
I will be inviting members of Ramblers and anyone else who might be interested in joining us.
The County Press have also been invited along.
Afterwards we'll be retiring to The Sun Inn at Hulverstone.
Click for details of the IOW Rifles.
I do hope that you will make an extra special effort to join us, and ensure that so many men WERE NOT FORGOTTEN.
PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE ON TO ANYONE ELSE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED.
Best wishes,
David
