O Fon i Fynwy: Walking Wales from End to End

O Fon i Fynwy (English: From Anglesey to Monmouthshire) is an unofficial end-to-end walking trail across Wales between Holyhead in Anglesey and Chepstow in Monmouthshire. The trail links many existing waymarked paths, including the Wales Coast Path, the North Wales Path, the Ardudwy Way, Glyndŵr's Way, the Beacons Way, Offa's Dyke Path, and the Wye Valley Walk. It also takes in some of Wales's most stunning landscapes, such as the Anglesey AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), Snowdonia National Park, the Cambrian Mountains, the Brecon Beacons National Park, and the Wye Valley AONB. The trail follows a mainly mid-level route through Snowdonia, with alternative high-level routes and summit detours outlined in the guide.

UPDATE October 2020 - Work to start upgrading the 150 year old Barmouth Viaduct starts in September 2020. It will affect the route of the path as it goes over the viaduct across the Mawddawch Estuary. During this upgrade the bridge will be closed temporarily on certain dates.
An alternative route is being looked into for walkers on the path and will be posted on this page. If you are planning to walk in this area, we suggest you also follow Network Rail social media for updates.
