Summits of Somerset and Avon

Bristol, Monmouthshire, N Somerset, Somerset, S Gloucestershire

208 km / 129 miles
A route across Somerset designed to connect the South West Coastal path with Offa's Dyke National Trail and can be used as part of a Lands End to John O'Groats route.

From the bustling town of Minehead in the lee of Exmoor, through the Quantocks and Mendips, across the Seven valley and into Wales at Chepstow, this route provides endless variety in walking and scenery, both natural and man-made. From the beauty of the Somerset levels and the awe-inspiring Cheddar Gorge, to the picture postcard appeal of the tiny hamlets and the energy of Bristol city centre, there is something for all tastes. The attraction and natural wonders of the scenery are complemented by the impressive skill of the craftsmen who worked on the region's astounding architecture
such as Glastonbury Abbey and Wells Cathedral.
