Chunky Camuplodunum

45 km / 28 miles
The route encircles the town of Colchester (known as Camulodunum in Roman times) and includes field paths, woodland, sea wall, prehistoric defence earthworks, a conservation valley, riverside as well as urban sections. It can be easily broken down into shorter chunks by making use of buses and the guide includes details of services.

The walk developed from a training run of long-time LDWA member Derek Keeble and a modified version was later supported by Essex Ramblers.
