Social Walks Register

The NEC have changed the social walks register, so if you attend a social walk you will be required provide your Name, Membership Number and either an "In Case of Emergency" (ICE) phone number OR the location where you store these details while on the walk e.g. On Phone, On a Tag attached to your backpack, in Wallet/Purse, etc.

This In Case of Emergency contact details will not be stored by the LDWA, the walk leader will securely destroy them after the walk.

This is so that the walk leader can assist the emergency services if required with this info.

The change is so that the LDWA can provide a higher level of care and safety to social walk attendees.

The Thames Valley Committee is looking at obtaining Tags for ICE details for Social Walk attendees, if they don't already have something to smooth the process of ICE details collection.
