Sun 12th Jul 2026 c12ml. 09:45. (SU603806) NOTE Later Start Time. Goring rlwy stn East Side 1000 feet of ascent. Train friendly summer amble in Chiltern woods & over undulating farmland to Collins End & Path Hill returning via the two Whitchurches(Hill & On- Thames).

Other News
MARSHALLING – MARLOW DONKEY OCTOBER 4th 2027 and JURASSIC HUNDRED 2027
We need marshals for both these events. For the Marlow Donkey on Sunday October 4th 2026, we have the lead positions and route sweeper positions filled but we need a few more marshals to help on registration and food due to the expansion to 3 checkpoints this year, Marlow (7.30-9.30 and/or 12-7), Hambleden (9-6) and Bix (10.30-2).

We have also agreed to run a checkpoint at Sidmouth Scout Hut, Devon for the next Hundred on 29/30 May 2027 from 7pm until 3am (plus set-up/set-down). As this is the May bank holiday weekend and we are not encouraging marshals to drive home at 3am, we are offering a capped subsidy for accommodation (plus other expenses such as petrol) of £100 each marshal.
Three of us are already booked in to the EXETER PREMIER INN M5 for the 2 nights of these dates, but it is clearly an option just to book the 29th or of course to stay where your wish (including the floor of the scout hut!).
Its likely however we’ll use that Premier Inn as a focus for car sharing. As its not only bank holiday weekend but as there will be around 700 other LDWA members looking for a bed, we suggest booking (and claiming) that as early as possible. Please first let Duncan at the email above know you can help, then book online yourself and claim with the confirmation through David.
The LDWA would particularly encourage past 100 walkers to take their turn on marshalling the main event.
