Social Walk Reports

Blue Moon Walk - 50th Anniversary, Saturday 30 May 20026

Blue Moon 1

11 Walkers assembled at the Streatley start point on the Ridgeway at 21:00hrs. We ventured through woods and fields getting used to the dimming light. We saw a beautiful sunset.

Blue Moon 2

Ventured along The Fair Mile where the moon was bright so we managed to use its light and red torch light to navigate our way to the Gallop. This took us down to Aston Upthorpe and Blewbury.

At the 9 mile point we stopped for refreshment in the full light to the moon before heading towards the Ridgeway. We arrived back at the start at 02:15 having walked 15.5 miles.

Good pace - lovely group - welcomed two new members to Thames Valley and a member from the Surrey Group. Thank you to Stuart for designing the route and recceing it a few times.
