Thames Valley 50th birthday celebrations for 2026

At the AGM Duncan Macgregor asked for volunteeers to organise the groups 50th birthday celebrations for 2026.

Anne, Sheila, Anushka, Alison and myself have formed a group in order to achieve this objective.

A brain storming session has been organised for 10th March at 7.30pm at my house and a WhatsApp group has been set up for communication.

So far agreement has been promised for a cake to be made, three of our most experienced walk leaders have been approached, a letter was handed to James a member of staff at the television studies White City on Weds 26th Feb. to be delivered to Janet Street Porter for her attendance. Alison has researched Skittles, Anushka has put forward suggestions including a Kanter. Linda has one for Hurley. Questions on the history of the LDWA maybe turned into a quiz.

As you can see there is lots going on but all ideas or promises of help would be very much appreciated.
