2. Keswick 2026
There are two places available for this year's visit to the Lake District as organised by Ron Williamson. Not an official LDWA event but the majority of the attendees are members.
Date: July 11th - 18th
Where: Registered Lakeland Barn with dormitory accommodation Max.8 people, situated 2 miles South of Keswick and accessible by public transport.
Walks: Organised for each day or do your own thing.
Walk leaders are needed for the weekends of 6/7, 13/14, and 27/28 June; and for 11/12 and 18/19 July. If you are able to help please contact the walks' secretary at london.walks@ldwa.org.uk
Route: Victoria Station (under the Arch opposite platforms 7/8). Through Belgravia to Albert Bridge, along the south bank of the Thames to Westminster Bridge, then the North bank to London Bridge.

A 2nd Pilgrims' Progress Part 5: Harrow to Farringdon
Event Type:Group Walk.
Region: Southern England / Surrey
Distance: 18 miles
Start Time: 9:15 Please note clocks go forward one hour the night before.
Route: Harrow & Wealdstone station (Bakerloo line or 08.44 from Euston; if coming from Milton Keynes it is the 8.08). Car drivers could park at Harrow and Wealdstone station. A variety of green areas of North London. Using sections of the London Loop, Dollis Valley Greenway & Capital Ring, mostly good firm tracks. Many bail-out options as the route is never far from public transport. Finish c.16.30 at Bunhill fields which is close to Farringdon station (or Liverpool Street station or some Wetherspoon options).
Notes: Bring picnic, plenty of water and food, moderate pace. There will be breaks for public conveniences and coffee shops. Please let Leader know, preferably via WhatsApp or text if you are intending to come, so you can be updated if there are any necessary changes to travel details or the route. The final part of “A Pilgrim's Progress”, a set of 5 social walks which have an association with the life of John Bunyan from his birth in Bedford to his grave in London. This will be a joint walk London group and BBN group. This walk will take place following the 10th Capital Challenge.
