216 walkers started the Capital Challenge on 28 March 2026 from St John's Church at Waterloo.
The weather was sunny but not too warm and the forecast rain never materialised.
The first half of the walk was north of the river through the St James's Park, Green Park, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Holland Park and Brompton Cemetery and the wealthy parts of central London.
The second half of the race traversed Battersea Park, Clapham Common, Brockwell Park, Dulwich Woods and Crystal Palace park and south London suburbia.
212 finished.
